C.L.E. Cigars Introduces Asylum Signature Series Featuring Tom Lazuka’s Personal Blend

C.L.E. Cigar Company is adding a new chapter to the Asylum portfolio with the introduction of the Asylum Signature Series — a project that carries a more personal connection than most releases from the brand.

Reported by Cigar Coop coverage of the announcement, this marks the first Asylum cigar to feature the name of founder Tom Lazuka, signaling a shift toward a more signature-driven concept.

A Personal Project from Tom Lazuka

According to Lazuka, the blend behind the Signature Series wasn’t originally intended for full production.

Instead, it was a cigar he personally enjoyed and shared in smaller circles — something he felt strongly about but didn’t initially have the tobacco to scale.

“I liked it so much that it is the cigar that I travel with and hand out personally.”

Now, with sufficient tobacco secured from Colombia, the blend is finally being brought to market as a formal release.

Blend & Concept

While full blend details remain limited, Lazuka describes the cigar as:

  • A maduro profile
  • Built to deliver a flavor experience that stands apart from previous Asylum releases
  • Developed from a blend that nearly became something else — but ultimately stood on its own

Notably, this will also mark the first Belicoso Maduro produced under the Asylum brand, adding another layer of distinction.

Sizes & Pricing

The Asylum Signature Series will be available in three vitolas:

  • 5 x 50 — $16 MSRP
  • 6 x 46 — $17 MSRP
  • 6 x 54 Belicoso — $18 MSRP

Packaging: 10-count boxes

I am happy to see that these cigars are being released in more “comfortable” ring gauges that I would typically smoke.

PCA 2026 Debut

The new line is expected to be officially showcased at the:

Premium Cigar Association Trade Show
April 17–20, 2026
New Orleans, Louisiana

Retail availability details should become clearer following the event.

Why It Matters

The Asylum brand has always leaned toward bold, unconventional releases — but the Signature Series introduces a more personal angle, directly tied to Tom Lazuka himself.

Between the origin story, the Colombian tobacco component, and the introduction of a Belicoso Maduro, this is shaping up to be one of the more interesting CLE/Asylum releases heading into PCA 2026.
