Broward Cigar Board covers the premium cigar industry — news, releases, events, and reviews — for enthusiasts and retailers in South Florida and beyond. This page explains how we work.

How We Source Stories

We prioritize original sources, in this order: official brand announcements and press releases, industry trade associations such as the Premium Cigar Association, official retailer announcements, and direct statements from company leadership. We cite established trade publications only when an official source is not yet available, and we say so when that’s the case.

Every story names its source and links to it. When details such as pricing, blend composition, or production counts have not been officially released, we mark them as pending rather than guessing. We do not publish rumors without labeling them clearly as unconfirmed.

Reviews

Reviews reflect the honest experience of smoking the cigar — construction flaws and all. When a cigar was provided by a brand or retailer rather than purchased, we disclose it in the review. No brand sees a review before publication, and no brand can pay for a favorable one.

Corrections

We fix mistakes quickly and visibly. Corrected articles carry a note describing what changed. If you spot an error, email press@browardcigarboard.com and we will review it promptly.
