Plasencia Cigars Unveils New Packaging, Signaling a New Chapter for the Brand

Miami, Florida — April 15, 2026 — Plasencia Cigars has announced a major evolution in its brand presentation, introducing new packaging across its portfolio as part of a broader identity refinement. The updated look will officially debut at PCA 2026 in New Orleans.

While the cigars themselves remain unchanged, the new packaging reflects a more intentional and elevated expression of the Plasencia brand—one rooted in heritage, craftsmanship, and a deep connection to the land.

A Refined Identity Rooted in Tradition

This transition marks the first full expression of Plasencia’s updated brand identity, including a new logo centered around a single tobacco leaf framed within a hexagon—a design inspired by nature’s balance and efficiency.

“This evolution allows us to express more clearly who we are today, rooted in nature, guided by experience, and committed to creating the best cigar for the world,” said Néstor Andrés Plasencia.

Rather than a reinvention, the company emphasizes this as a refinement, aligning its external presentation with the quality long associated with its cigars.

Elevated Presentation Across the Portfolio

The new packaging introduces a unified design language across all Plasencia lines, enhancing consistency and shelf presence.

One of the standout features is the “Vista” interior design, transforming the inside lid of each box into a storytelling element that highlights the brand’s heritage and philosophy.

Additional updates include:

  • Alma Collection: Visual elements now reflect the terroir of each blend, emphasizing origin, flavor, and strength
  • Reserva Original: Incorporates sunflower imagery, symbolizing its role in organic farming and protection of crops
  • Box Design: Tailored to each vitola, reducing excess material while optimizing retail shelf space

Sustainability and Functionality

Plasencia continues its commitment to sustainability with more efficient use of materials and reduced wood in box construction—balancing environmental responsibility with premium presentation standards.

Key Product Update

The Reserva Original line will see its most notable change:

  • Transition from 10-count to 14-count boxes
  • Introduction as a new product with a new UPC

Meanwhile, Alma Collection UPCs will remain unchanged, ensuring continuity for retailers and consumers.

Rollout Timeline

The transition to the new packaging will begin gradually in Fall 2026, with both old and new packaging coexisting in the market during the shift.

The Cosecha collection will remain unchanged for now, with a review planned for 2027.

A Legacy of Excellence

With a tobacco tradition dating back to 1865, Plasencia Cigars continues to lead the premium cigar industry through innovation rooted in tradition. From seed to smoke, the company remains committed to sustainability, craftsmanship, and delivering terroir-driven experiences—highlighted by its globally recognized Alma Collection and the industry’s only 100% certified organic cigar, Reserva Original.
