J.C. Newman Introduces Brick House The Commodore Maduro at PCA 2026
J.C. Newman Cigar Co. is expanding its popular Brick House Maduro line with the introduction of The Commodore Maduro, debuting at PCA 2026 in New Orleans (April 18–20).

This bold new release comes in a 5.5 x 70 vitola, offering a large ring gauge experience in a more manageable length—positioned as the “big brother” to the brand’s best-selling Mighty Mighty (6.25 x 60).
A Bigger Format, Built for Flavor
The Commodore Maduro is designed to deliver a long, full-flavored smoking experience while remaining approachable compared to traditional 7 x 70 cigars.
- Size: 5.5 x 70
- Wrapper: Brazilian Arapiraca Maduro
- Binder/Filler: Nicaraguan
- Factory: J.C. Newman PENSA, Estelí, Nicaragua
- MSRP: $11.50
- Packaging: Boxes of 25 and 5-count humidor bags
- Shipping: June 2026
Like the rest of the Brick House Maduro line, The Commodore features a dark Brazilian wrapper paired with Nicaraguan tobaccos, delivering a rich, bold profile with underlying sweetness.

Built on a Legacy Brand
The Brick House name traces back to founder Julius C. Newman’s childhood home in Austria-Hungary, where his family gathered with friends and locals in a lively social setting. The brand was later created to honor those roots and that communal cigar culture.
Today, Brick House cigars are handcrafted in Nicaragua and continue to earn high marks, including multiple appearances in Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 Cigars of the Year.
A New Chapter for Brick House
With large ring gauge cigars continuing to grow in popularity, The Commodore Maduro reflects J.C. Newman’s focus on delivering value, flavor, and modern sizing preferences.
This release is the first of four new products the company plans to introduce during PCA 2026.
