Plasencia to Launch Alma Fuerte Sixto I Hexagon Tubo at PCA 2025

If you’ve been riding the wave of Plasencia’s innovative cigar shapes, you’ll want to keep your eyes on what’s coming out of this year’s PCA in New Orleans. Plasencia Cigars is giving their best-selling Alma Fuerte Sixto I Hexagon a sleek new twist—literally—by introducing it in an elegant tubo format.

Set to be unveiled at the Premium Cigar Association Trade Show from April 11–14, the new Alma Fuerte Sixto I Hexagon Tubo brings the same bold Nicaraguan puro profile smokers love, now in a classy, travel-friendly presentation.

For those unfamiliar (or just needing a reminder), the Sixto I Hexagon isn’t your everyday 6×60. Launched back in 2021, this cigar made waves thanks to its hexagonal shape—a nod to nature’s engineering marvel, the honeycomb. Plasencia took that inspiration seriously, applying it to cigar construction in a way that enhanced combustion, airflow, and, most importantly, the smoking experience.

Inside the new tubo, you’ll find the same meticulously aged tobaccos wrapped in a beautiful Colorado Claro wrapper. Flavor-wise, expect familiar, luxurious notes: cocoa and roasted almonds upfront, with a smooth transition into warm nutmeg and cedar in the finish. It’s full-bodied, rich, and refined—the kind of stick that earns its place in your humidor.

The new hexagon-shaped tubos will be available in 10-count boxes (MSRP $262.50) and 3-count packs (MSRP $78.75), with individual sticks priced at $26.25. Shipping is slated to begin in early June.

Plasencia fans who already appreciate the craftsmanship behind the Alma Fuerte line will no doubt enjoy the added convenience and style of this tubo format. And for those who haven’t yet explored the Hexagon—this might just be the perfect excuse.
