Espinosa Introduces La Bomba Warhead TAA Exclusive for November Release

The latest addition to the Warhead series features a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, exclusive TAA distribution, and production limited to 12,500 cigars.

Espinosa Premium Cigars is giving its long-running La Bomba Warhead series a new twist with the introduction of La Bomba Warhead TAA, a limited-edition release created exclusively for retailers belonging to the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA).

Scheduled to begin shipping in November 2026, the new release combines Warhead’s familiar Nicaraguan foundation with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper. Production is limited to just 1,250 boxes of 10 cigars, making this a relatively small addition to one of Espinosa’s most recognizable cigar franchises.

For Warhead enthusiasts, the release offers a different interpretation of a blend that has become an annual fixture in the company’s portfolio.

A New Direction for the Warhead Blend

The La Bomba Warhead TAA is presented in a 6 x 55 box-pressed toro format, featuring a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers.

The company describes the blend as a unique, flavorful interpretation of its established Warhead profile.

While Espinosa has not provided a detailed tasting profile, the decision to use Mexican San Andrés tobacco gives collectors and enthusiasts another reason to pay attention to this particular release.

Production is being handled by the San Lotano Factory in Ocotal, Nicaragua, which continues to play an important role in Espinosa’s cigar manufacturing operations.

Warhead’s History of Limited Editions

The original 601 La Bomba Warhead debuted in 2013 as Espinosa’s first limited-edition cigar. Since then, the series has developed a following among enthusiasts drawn to its bold blends, annual variations, and distinctive presentation.

Its packaging, inspired by World War II-era military imagery and bomb designs, has become an important part of the Warhead identity.

The 2026 TAA exclusive continues that visual tradition with its recognizable bomb-shaped presentation and military-inspired graphics.

For Erik Espinosa, the series holds particular significance within the company’s history.

“Warhead is very special to us. It was our very first limited edition, and while it goes through a yearly iteration, it is always our most anticipated release,” said Erik Espinosa, owner of Espinosa Premium Cigars.

Espinosa added that the company wanted to give TAA retailers something original that would remain memorable for years to come.

An Exclusive for TAA Retailers

Rather than entering Espinosa’s general distribution network, La Bomba Warhead TAA will be available exclusively through participating Tobacconists’ Association of America retailers.

The TAA-exclusive designation is an important distinction. It gives participating retailers an offering that is separate from the brand’s regular distribution releases.

Production will be capped at 1,250 boxes containing 10 cigars each, representing 12,500 cigars in total.

Suggested retail pricing is $16 per cigar, or $160 for a complete box.

Shipping is expected to begin in November 2026, although Espinosa has not announced a specific shipping date.

Why This Release Matters

The Warhead series has remained a recognizable part of Espinosa’s limited-edition strategy for more than a decade. Its established identity gives each new iteration a built-in audience, but also creates expectations for something different.

The TAA release addresses that challenge through a combination of exclusivity, a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, and a defined production run.

For existing Warhead collectors, the attraction is the opportunity to explore another interpretation of a familiar series. For TAA retailers, the appeal is an exclusive release from an established Espinosa franchise.

With only 12,500 cigars scheduled for production, interested smokers will need to look toward participating TAA retailers as the November shipping window approaches.

Would you seek out the TAA-exclusive Warhead for its Mexican San Andrés blend, or are you sticking with the traditional annual Warhead releases?
