AVO Introduces EXPRESIVO Line and New Brand Direction at PCA 2026

AVO Cigars has unveiled AVO EXPRESIVO, a new core line debuting at the 2026 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show in New Orleans. The release introduces a fuller, more expressive profile to the brand’s traditionally balanced portfolio, while also marking the launch of AVO’s updated brand identity and global “Burn Brighter” campaign.

Background / Context

Known for its smooth, refined blends, AVO has long occupied a distinct space within the premium cigar market—favoring balance and accessibility over strength.

The introduction of EXPRESIVO signals a shift toward a bolder, more flavor-forward direction, while still maintaining the core identity that has defined the brand. The timing also aligns with the 100th anniversary of founder Avo Uvezian’s birth, adding a layer of significance to the release.

Blend Details

EXPRESIVO is crafted in Honduras using a multi-origin blend designed to highlight terroir:

  • Wrapper: Ecuadorian
  • Binder & Filler: Nicaragua and Honduras

The profile is described as layered, moving from earthy notes into leather and spice, offering increased intensity while maintaining overall balance.

Sizes / Pricing / Production

AVO EXPRESIVO will be available in three vitolas:

  • Robusto
  • Toro
  • Churchill

Pricing has not yet been disclosed.

Release Info

  • U.S. Launch: June 25, 2026
  • Global Launch: July 30, 2026

The line was officially introduced at PCA 2026 in New Orleans, alongside AVO’s broader brand refresh.

Why It Matters

EXPRESIVO represents a notable evolution for AVO.

While the brand has historically leaned toward milder, more classic profiles, this release suggests a move to capture smokers looking for more intensity without abandoning balance.

The simultaneous rollout of a new brand identity and global campaign reinforces that this is more than just a line extension—it’s a strategic repositioning aimed at keeping AVO relevant with a changing consumer base.

For retailers, EXPRESIVO could serve as a bridge product:

  • Appealing to existing AVO customers ready to explore fuller profiles
  • Attracting new smokers who may have previously overlooked the brand
