Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust 10th Jubilee Begins Shipping to Select Purveyors

The Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust 10th Jubilee has officially begun shipping to Select Purveyors nationwide, commemorating ten years since the company’s founding in 2015.

Blended by Steve Saka and crafted at Nicaraguan American Cigar, S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua, the 10th Jubilee is positioned not as an industry-typical anniversary showpiece, but as a deliberate return to the brand’s original ethos — balanced, nuanced, and compositionally distinct.

A Decade in Perspective

DTT launched in the summer of 2015 with a single brand — Sobremesa — and six cigars. Operating out of New Hampshire with a modest trade show presence and no sample inventory, the company navigated:

• FDA regulatory pressure
• Civil unrest in Nicaragua (2018)
• The global COVID-19 pandemic
• Inflationary pressures
• Import tariff increases

Ten years later, DTT maintains a tightly curated portfolio, consistent annual rankings, and full production allocation across releases.

The 10th Jubilee: A New Expression

Rather than producing a large-format figurado in ornate packaging — a common anniversary format — the 10th Jubilee arrives as a refined Corona Gordo.

Vitola

5 5/8 x 48 parejo
Simple SBN Box (13 count)

Liga Details

• Capa: Ecuador Sumatran Negra
• Capote: Mexicano Claro
• Tripa: Four finca-specific Nicaraguan tobaccos from distinct growing regions
• Fortaleza: Medium Plus

This marks the first time Saka has used all six of these specific tobaccos in a single blend.

Flavor Profile

The 10th Jubilee is described as delivering:

• Toffee
• Graham cracker
• Musk
• Earth
• Tempered Sarawak peppercorn-style spice
• Lingering sweet, woodsy finish

The overall experience is positioned as rich and robust yet silky on the palate — complex without aggression.

Distribution Model

The release is shipping exclusively to DTT Select Purveyors, with a broad national footprint across independent retailers and select online merchants.

According to the company, a limited number of uncommitted boxes remain due to production yield exceeding projections — an uncommon scenario for the manufacturer.

Why It Matters

Anniversary cigars often lean heavily on spectacle — oversized vitolas, luxury packaging, and premium pricing structures.

DTT’s 10th Jubilee instead reinforces:

• Brand authenticity over industry convention
• Continued commitment to nuanced, balanced blending
• Strategic restraint in format and presentation
• Loyalty to its Select Purveyor retail network

For a company frequently described as one of the most in-demand manufacturers in the handmade premium segment, this release reflects disciplined brand identity rather than market-driven theatrics.

With limited production and immediate distribution, availability is expected to tighten quickly.
