Foundation Cigar Co. Update: Production Recovery, Limited Releases & What’s Coming This Fall

In true Foundation fashion, transparency and craftsmanship remain front and center—even in the face of challenges. Nick Melillo, the driving force behind Foundation Cigar Co., recently shared an important update for retailers and cigar fans alike, following a production setback earlier this year.

The Situation

Back in April, one of Foundation’s key production partners in Nicaragua experienced a fire. Thankfully, no one was injured, but the incident did impact parts of the supply chain—especially packaging materials and inventory flow.

Since then, Nick and his team have been working tirelessly to reorganize production and keep cigars moving to market. The good news? Progress is happening.

What to Expect in the Coming Months

? Product Availability
Expect Foundation products to begin arriving again starting late July through August. Full strength in production and availability is anticipated by mid-fall.

? Tabernacle & Olmec Lines
These fan-favorite blends will remain in limited supply for now. The specific tobaccos used in these cigars are still in tight demand, and Foundation is carefully managing allocations to ensure retailers continue to have access.

? 10-Year Anniversary Release
Here’s the really exciting part: Foundation’s highly anticipated 10-Year Anniversary cigar is still on track to begin shipping this August! Materials for this special release were mostly unaffected by the fire—so expect this milestone smoke to land right on schedule.

? What Else is Coming:

  • Wise Man Lancero: Shipping in August
  • Primer Fabrica (Event-Exclusive): Rolling out at select Foundation events starting in August
  • Highclere Castle: Expected to return to regular shipping soon
  • Limited Editions:
    • Highclere Castle Senetjer ? Late fall
    • Tabernacle Knight Commander ? Late fall (pending packaging readiness)

A Word from Nick

Nick closed his message with sincere appreciation for the patience and support of both retailers and cigar enthusiasts through this challenging stretch:

“Foundation has always been built on integrity, quality, and community—and that commitment remains as strong as ever.”

Final Thoughts

If you’ve been a fan of Foundation’s masterful blends—like Tabernacle, Olmec, and Highclere Castle—know that more cigars are on the way, and the team is pushing hard to get things back to normal.

In the meantime, August is shaping up to be a great month to watch for new releases and special projects from Foundation Cigar Co. Stay tuned and keep your humidors ready.
