THE STORY

An Exclusive Built on Patience

J.C. Newman Cigar Co. is adding another chapter to its historic Brick House portfolio with the introduction of Brick House Beginnings Ciento por Ciento, a limited-edition Nicaraguan puro created exclusively for members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA).

With five years of aging behind it and only 800 boxes produced, the release offers an intriguing combination of patience, heritage, and limited availability. Shipping is scheduled to begin the week of October 26, 2026, with distribution restricted to TAA member retailers throughout the United States.

Five Years in the Making

The new Ciento por Ciento joins Brick House Beginnings, J.C. Newman’s occasional series dedicated to well-aged cigars.

For this release, the company has taken a particularly patient approach, aging the cigars for five years before bringing them to market.

That extended aging period is a defining part of the release’s identity, distinguishing Ciento por Ciento from the regular-production Brick House portfolio.

While aging alone does not guarantee a particular smoking experience, it gives enthusiasts an additional reason to take notice of this limited offering.

A Tribute to Nicaraguan Tobacco

The name Ciento por Ciento, Spanish for “100 percent,” reflects the cigar’s entirely Nicaraguan composition.

Handcrafted at J.C. Newman’s Puros de Estelí Nicaragua, S.A. (PENSA) factory in Estelí, the cigar features a Habana-seed wrapper grown in Nicaragua’s Jalapa Valley.

The binder and filler incorporate tobaccos sourced from three of Nicaragua’s mountainous growing regions, bringing together different expressions of the country’s tobacco-growing heritage.

The company has not disclosed the individual binder and filler regions or a formal strength profile in its announcement.

Limited Production, TAA Exclusivity

Availability will be particularly limited. J.C. Newman has allocated just 800 boxes, each containing 10 cigars, for a total release of 8,000 cigars.

THE BRICK HOUSE LEGACY

A Brand Rooted in Family History

Brick House holds a special place in the Newman family’s history.

First introduced in 1937, the brand pays tribute to the home where company founder Julius Caeser Newman was born in 1875.

According to the family, the house earned its nickname because it was the only brick-built home in the village.

“Brick House is one of my great-grandfather’s original cigar brands.” Drew Newman

That history gives the Beginnings series a fitting identity. Rather than simply introducing another limited cigar, the company continues to connect its modern Nicaraguan production with a brand whose origins reach back nearly 90 years.

EDITORIAL PERSPECTIVE

Why This Release Matters

Limited editions are hardly unusual in today’s premium cigar market, but Brick House Beginnings Ciento por Ciento has several characteristics that make it worth watching.

The five-year aging period is the most compelling distinction, followed closely by its entirely Nicaraguan blend and modest production quantity.

The TAA-exclusive distribution also means enthusiasts will need to seek out participating retailers rather than expect widespread availability.

For longtime Brick House smokers, the release offers an opportunity to explore a different side of a familiar brand. For collectors and enthusiasts interested in aged Nicaraguan tobacco, Ciento por Ciento presents a compelling addition to the fall release calendar.

The question is whether five years of patience will translate into a memorable smoking experience.

With only 8,000 cigars heading to retailers, opportunities to find out may be limited.
