Plasencia Brings Alma del Cielo to InterTabac 2025

If you’ve been following Plasencia Cigars this year, you’ve probably heard whispers about their newest gem, Alma del Cielo—and now it’s getting the international spotlight at InterTabac 2025 in Dortmund, Germany.

The name translates to “Soul from the Sky”, and it’s a fitting tribute. This cigar is born from the elevated soils of Finca San Julián in Condega, Nicaragua, where tobacco flourishes more than 3,500 feet above sea level. That rare terroir gives the blend a unique character—romantic, rooted in heritage, yet forward-thinking.

Even more touching is the story behind it. Alma del Cielo is inspired by Melalina Torres, wife of Don Nestor Plasencia, who once sought refuge in those very fields. Years later, the land was lovingly restored as a gift of devotion, and today, it produces the tobaccos that make this cigar so special.

Vitolas & Specs

  • Celeste – Robusto (4 7/8 x 52)
  • Boreal – Toro (6 1/8 x 54)
  • Amanecer – Hexágono (6 x 60)

Plasencia is also upping the ante at InterTabac by presenting the Plasencia Award for Luxury Experience in Retail—an honor for cigar lounges and retailers who embody refinement, service, and ambiance. Think of it as a celebration of those who turn cigar smoking into true.

With Alma del Cielo, Plasencia once again proves why they’ve been at the top of the game for five generations. This is more than a cigar—it’s history, passion, and luxury rolled into one.
