Nestor Miranda Private Reserve Lancero Returns Ahead of PCA 2026

Miami Cigar & Co. is bringing back a format long appreciated by traditionalists, announcing the return of the Nestor Miranda Private Reserve Lancero, set to debut at the 2026 Premium Cigar Association Trade Show in New Orleans.

Originally introduced in 2021, the Private Reserve line represents a more personal side of Nestor Miranda’s approach to blending — one rooted in experience, heritage, and a clear focus on balance.

A Format for Purists

The lancero has always held a special place among seasoned smokers, often regarded as one of the most honest expressions of a blend.

With its slimmer ring gauge, the format demands:

  • Precision in construction
  • Balance in blending
  • Consistency throughout the smoke

For Miranda, it’s also a personal favorite.

“The lancero has always been my favorite—it’s an elegant cigar, simple as that.”

Blend Details

The Private Reserve Lancero is crafted at La Aurora in the Dominican Republic and built around a balanced, multi-origin blend:

Wrapper: Dominican Corojo
Binder: Nicaraguan Criollo ‘98
Filler: Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Brazilian tobaccos
Factory: La Aurora (Dominican Republic)

Vitola & Packaging

Vitola: 6¾ x 40 Lancero

Production will be limited to 500 boxes, reinforcing the line’s more selective and personal nature.

  • MSRP: $18 per cigar
  • Box Price: $180
  • Production: 500 boxes

The cigar will be showcased at PCA 2026 before reaching retailers later in the summer.

Presentation & Inspiration

The packaging reflects a blend of influences — combining:

  • Cuban heritage
  • Miami’s coastal aesthetic
  • A refined, understated presentation

It mirrors the philosophy behind the cigar itself: subtle, balanced, and intentional.

Why It Matters

In a market that often leans toward larger ring gauges and bolder profiles, the return of a lancero — especially from a respected name like Nestor Miranda — stands out.

This release feels less about chasing trends and more about honoring a format and style that continues to resonate with experienced smokers.
