LA GLORIA CUBANA SOCIETY DINNER

May 30, 2024 – Cafe Vico in Fort Lauderdale, FL

The Cigar Board was fortunate enough to once again team up with Neptune Cigars, Café Vico and the team at La Gloria Cubana to hold another stellar event for local our followers. We were doubly honored to learn that we were the First Official LGC Society event!

We were thrilled to be back at Café Vico and have Bobby Toro, premium Sales Manager for South Florida and Puerto Rico, Mike Serota the Southeast Regional Manager and the lovely Vanessa Rojas the Neptune Cigars Event Planner join us for the evening.

The event kicked off at 7 PM with dinner and drinks, guests were able to purchase a variety of La Gloria Cubana products on site thanks to Neptune. The 2023 Society Cigar was one of the featured blends and a few of us smoked it last night for the first time. Everyone loved the experience, and the cigar was a solid medium with some smooth flavor and a nice kick near the final third in strength.

Also featured was the 2023 8^th Street blend, rolled at El Titan de Bronze in Little Havana. I am looking forward to enjoying this cigar soon as I’ve never had a bad stick from Sandy Cobas’s factory.

I put on my Cigar Rights of America Ambassador hat briefly and spoke to the folks gathered about the CRA’s mission and importance. I know by the end of the night we had a few new members lined up. Thank you to those guests that signed up to support the cause.

The food was excellent, as is typical for Chef Marco, his staff was super attentive and thanks to Café Vico for hosting us again.

If you are local and not attending these events, you are missing out on an opportunity to get one on one time with manufacturers and learn about the artistry of cigar making. These events are put on for your enjoyment and we had lots of prizes given away by the LGC Society. A member took home the Grand Prize of a 150 Count LGC Humidor.

Lastly, please visit La Gloria Cubana Society and sign up to become a member. Your membership comes with the opportunity to be a part of a thriving community of fellow cigar lovers and possibly help blend the next LGC Society blend.

Thank you to Bobby, Mike, Vanessa and all my fellow brothers and sisters of the leaf that came out last night to enjoy a beautiful evening and some terrific La Gloria Cubana cigars.

Until next time…
