Big Sky Cigar Co. and Willie’s Distillery Partner for a Montana-Born Cigar Collaboration

Two Montana brands built around patience, craftsmanship, and tradition are coming together for a new cigar collaboration.

Big Sky Cigar Co. has announced a partnership with Willie’s Distillery of Ennis, Montana, bringing premium cigars and handcrafted spirits together under one distinctly Montana banner.

The collaboration feels like a natural fit. Both companies have built their reputations around products that take time, attention, and respect for the process. Whether it is aging bourbon or developing a premium cigar blend, neither experience benefits from being rushed.

“Good things can’t be rushed. Great bourbon takes time, and so do great cigars. When the opportunity came up to work with another Montana company like Willie’s Distillery, it just felt like the right fit,” said Brandon Marsh, co-owner of Big Sky Cigar Co.

A Limited First Release

The first cigar produced through the collaboration will initially be available exclusively at Willie’s Distillery and during select upcoming Big Sky Cigar events.

Big Sky Cigar Co. says the initial release is intended to serve as the foundation for a future regular-production cigar celebrating the partnership between the two companies.

Specific details regarding the cigar’s blend, vitola, pricing, release date, and launch events have not yet been announced. Additional information is expected in the coming months.

Two Montana Originals

Founded in Montana, Big Sky Cigar Co. produces premium hand-rolled cigars inspired by the landscapes, traditions, and character of the Treasure State.

The company has steadily expanded its national footprint, with Big Sky cigars now available at more than 500 retailers across 45 states. Its portfolio is marketed under the company’s familiar phrase, “The Last Best Smoke.”

Willie’s Distillery is located in Ennis, Montana, and has become one of the better-known craft distilleries in the American West. The company produces bourbon, whiskey, vodka, and other handcrafted spirits using traditional distilling methods and a strong emphasis on Montana heritage.

The distillery has also become a destination for visitors looking for a more authentic regional experience built around locally produced spirits and Western hospitality.

Why This Collaboration Makes Sense

Cigar and bourbon collaborations are not unusual, but this one carries a stronger regional connection than many branded pairings.

Both Big Sky Cigar Co. and Willie’s Distillery were shaped by Montana culture, and both sell products closely associated with slowing down and enjoying the moment. That shared identity gives the partnership more substance than simply placing two logos on the same release.

For cigar enthusiasts, the most interesting question will be whether the eventual blend is designed specifically to pair with one of Willie’s bourbons or whiskeys.

For now, the first release remains limited, with the possibility of a broader production cigar to follow.

Additional details will be published as they become available.
