BCB Weekly Cigar Roundup — Week of July 20 to July 26, 2026

Published: July 26, 2026 | browardcigarboard.com

The week between the PCA aftermath and the August release calendar is usually a slow one, and this year was no exception in volume — but not in weight. The Premium Cigar Association put its own name on a cigar for the first time in its history, aiming it at Dubai rather than Las Vegas. Habanos moved a limited Cohiba into permanent production in a year when its flagship festival was cancelled. Underneath those two, the week ran on shipping notices, a boutique limited edition, and a lawsuit that will need watching.

What We Published This Week

Industry Stories We’re Watching

The largest story of the week came from the trade association itself. The Premium Cigar Association, The Leaf Master Tobacco Trading, and La Palina Cigars announced Yalla Habeebi, the first PCA-branded international premium cigar. Built on the La Palina Goldie blend and dressed in artwork created for the occasion, the 5 1/2 x 54 will arrive in 20-count bundles to commemorate the second annual World Cigar Show in Dubai, running November 10 through 13. A portion of proceeds from every cigar supports PCA’s advocacy work, and a limited one-time release is planned for the 2027 PCA Show in Las Vegas next March.

Habanos S.A. is bringing the Cohiba Talismán into regular production as part of the Línea Clásica, according to Cigar Aficionado and halfwheel. The cigar, previously issued in limited quantities, is scheduled to be formally unveiled at a London event on October 7 as part of Cohiba’s 60th anniversary program. Pricing has not been announced. The move carries added weight because the Festival del Habano was cancelled for 2026, leaving the anniversary calendar as the primary vehicle for Habanos news this year.

Emperors Cut Cigars will release Prophecy on August 1, a 7 x 52 blended with La Aurora master blender Manuel Inoa and reported by halfwheel. The blend pairs an African Cameroon seed wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder and a filler drawn from Pennsylvania, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic. Production is limited to 1,000 cigars at an MSRP of $25, making it one of the smaller and more expensive boutique runs of the summer.

One story from the week requires more reporting before it can be characterized. halfwheel’s weekly news noted that Don Abram Harris Cigars has filed suit against Philip Morris USA. The claims, venue, and relief sought have not been confirmed, and BCB is not drawing conclusions about the case until the filing has been reviewed.

Shipping & Events

Casa Carrillo began shipping Perez-Carrillo Ascend to retailers the week of July 20, per halfwheel. Five new Tatuaje releases are reported to be heading to stores, priced between $12 and $13 MSRP depending on vitola, according to Tatuaje. Patina Cigars announced entry into the Canadian market, with the distribution partner and launch timing still unannounced. The World Cigar Show returns to Dubai November 10 through 13, and Habanos will host its Cohiba 60th anniversary event in London on October 7th.

Also Noted

Casa Carrillo also has Encore Noir II in the pipeline, described as a Nicaraguan puro across wrapper, binder, and filler, with release timing not yet announced. And as we reported earlier this month, United Cigars is making its Independence blend a permanent line after the Firecracker sold out nationwide, with the Robusto and Toro arriving August 27 — a date now sitting just past the Emperors Cut and Casa Carrillo releases on a suddenly crowded August calendar.
