A Cigar Hustlers Podcast Expands Its Cast as Daily Format Finds Its Groove

A Cigar Hustlers Podcast is adding more voices to an already expanding daily lineup.

The Deltona, Florida-based show announced that Cheanno Respo and Siggy Schlieper have joined as rotating co-hosts, while Tim McGuffie has joined the engineering team alongside his brother, longtime show engineer Phil McGuffie.

They join a growing cast that includes host Mike “BDP” Palmer, Mike “The King” Szczepankiewtcz, Super Star Triple G, and the rest of the Cigar Hustlers crew.

On paper, it is a personnel announcement.

For regular listeners, though, it says something bigger about what the show has become.

From Podcast to Daily Cigar Conversation

The biggest change at A Cigar Hustlers Podcast may not be any single new personality. It is the move toward a daily format built around a rotating group of hosts.

That format has given the show a different rhythm than a traditional weekly cigar podcast. Instead of waiting several days for the next episode, listeners are getting a continuing conversation about what is happening around the premium cigar industry.

News breaks. Someone has an opinion about it. Someone else disagrees. A tangent begins. Industry personalities get discussed. Cigars get reviewed. And the next day, the conversation picks up again.

For this writer, it has become the podcast currently consuming nearly all available listening time.

The rotating cast is a major part of why.

More Personalities, More Chemistry

Cheanno Respo and Siggy Schlieper add two more personalities to a show that increasingly works because there is no single predictable combination behind the microphones.

That matters.

A rotating format can easily become disjointed, but when it works, it keeps conversations from becoming formulaic. Different combinations of hosts bring different perspectives, relationships and senses of humor into the discussion.

Super Star Triple G has already become part of that mix, and the additions of Respo and Schlieper should give the show even more flexibility.

Behind the scenes, Tim McGuffie joining Phil McGuffie on the engineering side gives the podcast additional production depth as its output increases.

“Cheanno and Siggy are going to bring fresh energy to the conversations, and having Tim join Phil behind the board gives us even more versatility,” said co-host Mike “The King” Szczepankiewtcz in the announcement.

He also noted that Triple G has already become an important part of the team—and joked that the increasingly crowded lineup gives everyone more opportunities to keep Mike BDP on his toes.

Why the Daily Format Works

There is no shortage of cigar podcasts.

What is considerably less common is a show capable of generating enough material to remain interesting five days a week.

That is where the current version of A Cigar Hustlers Podcast has become particularly compelling.

The show sits somewhere between a traditional cigar podcast, industry morning show and an ongoing conversation among people who spend a lot of time inside the premium cigar business.

That makes it useful for listeners who follow cigar-industry news closely, but it also keeps the program from feeling like a news bulletin.

The opinions are candid. The humor can wander far outside the cigar lane. Conversations frequently take unexpected turns.

And because the cast changes, the dynamic changes with it.

A Different Kind of Industry Show

The cigar industry has traditionally been covered through magazines, websites, podcasts and long-form interviews.

A daily conversational format adds something different.

Stories that might otherwise appear as a press release or headline become topics for immediate discussion. Listeners hear reactions, disagreements and context from people connected to the cigar business rather than simply receiving the news itself.

That does not replace traditional cigar journalism.

It complements it.

For enthusiasts who want to know what the industry is talking about—not merely what happened—that distinction can make the show particularly addictive.

And lately, that is exactly what has happened here at Broward Cigar Board.

There are plenty of podcasts sitting in the queue.

A Cigar Hustlers Podcast keeps jumping to the front of it.

With Cheanno Respo and Siggy Schlieper joining the rotating cast and Tim McGuffie expanding the production team, there are now even more personalities available to keep that daily conversation moving.

The only downside?

There is considerably less time left for every other podcast.
