The always dapper, Juan Nuñez and the Iconic Smokers, threw an epic bash last night at Ashes Cigar & Lounge in Kendall to officially launch Coyaba Cigars.

A few of the board members made the trip to personally congratulate Juan and support our Iconic brothers and sisters of the leaf. The Coyaba Cigars were front and center as we entered Ashes. Juan was greeting all the guests and providing some background on his offerings. We exchanged some small talk and congratulations and headed to the table where boxes of Coyaba were on display.

The Coyaba I saw were Robusto or Toro and came draped in three different wrappers, Habano, Maduro and Natural. I personally picked up a Robusto of each offering, paid and headed out back to join the festivites.

… and the party was hopping out back. DJ Tony T was spinning local favorites and a dozen or so tables were laid out under a forty by twenty-foot tent. Jack Daniels was on site offering up samples of whiskey. Jerome and his family had a table setup offering all kinds of Iconic swag.

There were several groups in attendance, I spotted the 305 Divaz, Luis Cuevas, of Casa Cuevas, and his lovely wife were seated at a table, the Queen Mayerling, and a full cadre of Iconic’s heads and core members.

We hung out and smoked through our first Coyaba, enjoying the tunes and atmosphere. Jerome came by and gave us each a shot of a high proof whiskey that was a private barrel pick for the Iconic team. Smooth going down but with a fiery mule kick finish!
